Exclusive Interview With Billie Eilish

Billie Eilish speaks exclusively to theNewly about how she lives with people repetitively interrogating her about her own sexuality and she explains her coping mechanisms mentally when being watched by the public eye.

We asked Eilish how it felt to always be questioned about such a personal thing and she stated

"It can be so hard! People are always assuming things and these assumptions get easily spread across media platforms, I find it really hard because you wouldn't ask a person you didn't know about their sexuality, so it isn't fair asking me. Just because I am in the public eye does not make it anymore okay to interrogate."

The Indie singer is known for wearing oversized clothes, not showing much flesh and having a very unique fashion sense and we asked Billie Eilish if their was a deeper meaning to why she dresses the way she does. Eilish replied confidently to this question explaining

"Just because I am a women, who is a performer does not mean we have to show skin and wear revealing clothes, some performers do this but it is important that you shouldn't feel expected to dress a certain way! Being a female is particually challenging as we are constantly judged by how we look, our body sizes or if we have gained some weight or even lost weight. I wear what I wear because don't want people to judge me by the way I look or my body but I want to be judged by my performance and who am as a person.

Eilishes' words are wise, women in particular are judged by the way they look and sometimes it is a better option to not give them something to talk about. Furthermore me and Eilish had a conversation about young people in modern society and how much they have to deal with regarding sexuality.

Eilish coveys

"The modern world is cruel, too many people are judged for what they are and who they are, us younger generation need to realise it's okay to express ourselves and to be who we are! There are too many cases where young people have to suffer as they don't feel excepted and this needs to change, we need to educate our people so no one ever has to face this alone, it can be a dark place."

We would like to thank Eilish for taking the time to be in this interview and on being honest on her thoughts, feelings and opinions. Lastly, we asked Billie Eilish if there is any exclusive news she can give her regarding her music and she announced

"2020 is an exciting year for me music wise and I have a lot happening. My new single drops next Tuesday, which is exciting and I hope everyone enjoys as it's a personal piece."

Thank you again for sharing this information and good luck to Billie on her successful journey
